Brady Kurtz was co-top scorer for the Australian U21 SWC side on Saturday and helped steer the Young Roos into the finals of the competition.
Registering four straight wins from his programmed rides, matching that of Max Fricke, Brady then ran a third place behind Norwegian Glen Moi and Denmark's Frederik Jakobsen. That result enabled the Danes to move level with Australia ahead of the final heat and with both nations holding a ten point lead over Team GB.
Robert Lambert took the victory in that last race whilst Jonas Jeppesen finished ahead of Fricke to give the Danes victory on the night.
But with the other semi-final, held in Plzen, having been dominated by Poland (43 points) with Russia only totalling 30, Australia comfortably qualified for the finals as the best runners-up.
