Chris Holder steered Australia to their second victory in the Speedway Best Pairs Cup to give the Aussies a 4 point championship lead over Denmark
Whilst Holder was in a hungry mood it wasn't all smiles for the Aussies as Jason Doyle, deputising for the injured Darcy Ward, was involved in a bad crash in the first ride when against the Latvians.
Ex-Poole skipper Davey Watt stepped ably into the breach scoring 17 points, one less than Holder, in the heats. For the second time in the competition Australia beat Denmark in the final, Holder claiming his fourth race win of the night.
The Danes again needed to beat Poland in the semi-final, Przemyslaw Pawlicki taking the place of GP leader Krzysztof Kasprzak who was injured in the Poles' final heat.
