INJURED JOSH

31/05/14

POOLE'S Ausie starlet Josh Grajczonek suffered a broken nose and fractured eye socket whilst taking a guest booking for Birmingham  at Coventry on Friday night.

Grajczonek, who was hugely instrumental in the Pirates winning the Elite league title last season, was deputising for Ben Barker and had won his opening ride. But in his second race he was caught from behind by the pursuing Ryan Fisher and was thrown off his machine.

It is too early to determine the full length of his lay-off at present but Poole have booked his Workington Comet's team-mate Kyle Howarth as guest cover for Wednesday night when they entertain Wolverhampton at Wimborne Road.

Josh is scheduled to be involved in next Saturday's FIM GP qualifier meeting at Berwick along with fellow Pirates Maciej Janowski and Przemyslaw Pawlicki
