DAN HEADING FOR NUMBER TEN
New signing Dan Gilkes will be making his tenth team appearance at Wimborne Road when the tapes go up on Good Friday (6.30pm).
Poole Speedway can announce a change to their fixture schedule in July with the Workington Comets now coming to Wimborne Road on Wednesday 23rd July (7.30pm) and not, as previously planned, August 13th.
Explaining the change, promoter Dan Ford said "Bringing Workington forward helps us all round. It provides us with more continuity with our home meetings and also frees up August 13th which should help with us being able to fix up either our BSN semi-final or possibly our KO Cup semi-final. Having spoken to our potential opponents for those competitions, July 23rd was not an option for them, so we are grateful that Workington have worked with us in agreeing to come to us in just a couple of weeks time."
The Pirates are due to visit Workington in a re-arranged fixture this Saturday.
