PIRATES LOOK TO BOMBER AS ROCKETMAN MISSES CUP TIE

The 'Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates are just thirty nine race points away from their fifth successive Knockout Cup appearance.
Since joining the second tier of British Speedway the Pirates have been a permanent feature in the cup final and the class of 2025 head to Glasgow (Sunday) seeking a performance in the second leg of their semi-final that will retain that statistic.
The Pirates edged themselves into the driving seat when they recovered from a mid-first-leg two point deficit to win by fourteen, but as a unit they know that will count for nothing if they don't finish the job over the Tigers at the weekend.
Glasgow will be buoyed by the fact that in their last three home fixtures they have won by margins in excess of the fourteen points but will equally be mindful that the Pirates are just one of two visiting sides to have won at Ashfield this season.
Just as with the first leg, Glasgow will be without Villads Nagel, this time due to a Polish fixture commitment, whilst Max Perry continues to be ruled out through injury. The Pirates will be unchanged.
