The opportunity to see some of the stars of the future presents itself at Wimborne Road tomorrow (Wednesday 26th June, 7.30pm) when Poole Speedway hosts the National League Riders Championship.
Poole promoter Dan Ford is anticipating a keenly fought contest, acknowledging "I know that Sam Hagon will be strongly fancied by many to win this meeting and indeed, there is no reason why he shouldn't, with the form he has shown this season. But he goes into the meeting with a big target on his back and I am sure that all his opponents will raise their game to cause an upset. Freddy Hodder, Jake Mulford, Connor Coles and Nathan Ablitt are all serious contenders too and I am sure that we will be in for a good night's entertainment across the twenty heats".
Hagon missed Monday's meeting for Leicester in the SGB Rowe Motor Oil Premiership feeling the effects of a crash he suffered at Berwick on Saturday but is confident that he will be fit enough to ride. There will be plenty of Poole interest in the meeting with newest recruit Vinnie Foord, who was in superb form at Leicester on Sunday afternoon, included in the line up, as is the rider he replaces in the Poole side, Max Perry, who represents the Edinburgh Academy. 2022 Pirate Nathan Ablitt will undoubtedly be a popular returnee.
Supporters are reminded that entry to the stadium will only be permissible via the East Grandstand due to the glass Grandstand being closed for the evening.
Season Tickets are not valid for this fixture
