DEAL DONE WITH DELIGHTED DANE

20/11/24

The third piece of the 2025 Wessex Marine Pirates has been slotted into place with the confirmation that Tobias Thomsen has been recalled for a second season with the Pirates.

Confirming Toby's return, Dan Ford said "I think we all saw the true potential of Toby at the crucial stage of the season last year and that makes his average something of a real steal as we look to build to the forty point limit. Without a doubt he has become a fan's favourite, chiefly for the effort he invests in his riding. His post race celebrations are something the fans enjoy and we all hope to see plenty more of those in 2025."

The rider himself admits "I am really pleased to be signing for Poole again. It means that I did something right in the end and you applauded it by inviting me back for 2025. I can't be more happy to sign for Poole because that is about the only place I wanted to be. I think I grew as a rider in 2024 and there were people that really helped me out and showed me the way and I am super happy to be back to entertain you guys for another year. That's the plan!"

The Dane, who will start on a 4.41 average, becomes the third member of the 2024 Treble Winning side as he joins Richard Lawson and 2025 captain Zach Cook and with four places to fill the Poole management have just over twenty points to play with.
