DAN HEADING FOR NUMBER TEN
New signing Dan Gilkes will be making his tenth team appearance at Wimborne Road when the tapes go up on Good Friday (6.30pm).
Besides the retention of Richard Lawson and the two Cook brothers, Ben and Zach, for 2024, Poole Speedway are delighted to announce that they will also have some familiarity in their headline sponsors, with Wessex Marine Services confirmed as main team sponsors, for a second successive season.
Under the enthusiastic watch of David and Guy Adams, Wessex Marine have been part of Poole speedway now for many years with various levels of club and rider backing, and Dan Ford admitted:
"it is hard not to think of Poole Speedway without also thinking of Wessex Marine. They have been so loyal and supportive of us for so many years now and their enthusiasm never wanes. 2024 will be the second season we have gone under the official banner of Poole Wessex Marine Pirates and it makes us even more determined to bring the league title back to Wimborne Road as adding the word 'Champions' to that title would be nothing less than what David and Guy deserve."
