DAN HEADING FOR NUMBER TEN
New signing Dan Gilkes will be making his tenth team appearance at Wimborne Road when the tapes go up on Good Friday (6.30pm).
Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates star Zach Cook won the penultimate meeting at Monmore Green on Monday.
Riding in the unique handicap racing event put on by Wolverhampton, Cook's 2023 Premier League club, he was one of the standout riders all night long scoring eleven points from his qualifying rides, in which riders were handicapped a distance depending on their previous ride. He then went on to win the Grand Final, beating Rory Schlein (2nd), Tom Brennan and Luke Becker to claim the Olympique title.
The final ever meeting at Monmore Green will be held this coming Monday (23rd) with Wolverhampton already having confirmed that they will not have a home in time to commit to the 2024 campaign.
