ROYNON ROCKS IN AT RESERVE

18/01/23

Poole have completed their starting 1-7 for 2023 with the signing of 34-year-old Adam Roynon who comes into the team at reserve.

The combination of Roynon and Newman will give the Pirates a hugely experienced and talented reserve duo as the club seek to achieve the 'treble of doubles'.
Although the Cumbrian has had a career blighted by injuries his reputation as an all-out battler has not gone unnoticed by the Poole management and his move to Wimborne Road is one that Dan Ford is eagerly looking forward to.

"Adam is a perfect fit for us. He is a 100% trier and has an average that does not reflect his true ability. With him and Kyle at reserve we will have a very strong combination, possibly the most experienced pairing in the league. He might be starting on a 3.47 average but I would expect him to substantially improve on the figure once he settles in here at Poole."

With Steve Worrall, Richard Lawson, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, Jack Thomas, Newman and now Adam Roynon as confirmed 2023 starters the Pirates are now complete as they look to defend their Championship League and KO Cup double.
