PIRATES LOOK TO BOMBER AS ROCKETMAN MISSES CUP TIE

Pirates' action returns to the screens on Wednesday (24th June) with the clock turned back to 2015 and a league visit of the Swindon Robins.
Poole star Maciej Janowksi had been unbeaten around Wimborne Road in his previous eight rides and was therefore looking for a hat-trick of maximums, but would be up against the brilliance of Poole-owned superstar Darcy Ward making his first (and final) appearance at Wimborne Road as an opponent. The sensational Aussie had been snapped up by the Wiltshire side after he completed his FIM ban following his indiscretion at the previous season's Latvian GP.
The Pirates, sitting second in the table at the time of the meeting - July 29th - boasted a full one-to-seven for the fixture, but the Robins were reliant on the guest services of Hans Andersen (covering for the injured Nick Morris) and Darryl Ritchings who was deputising for Lewis Rose, a broken scaphoid victim when the two clubs had met 16 days earlier at the Abbey Stadium.
Promoter Dan Ford announced the return of meeting streaming by saying "we had completed our review of the league titles over recent weeks and so decided to take a break last week, but it seems that there is still a call for us to broadcast more meetings. So before we turn the focus on Knockout Cup meetings over the years we have selected this meeting from 2015 which is well worth viewing, not least the edge-of-the seat action from heat 12."
The meeting will be available for Premier streaming from 7.30pm on Wednesday courtesy of the co-operation between ReRun Productions and Speedway Portal.
