STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

13/01/20

With the move to the SGB Championship and reverting to Wednesday night racing, the Poole Pirates are making no assumptions in respect of availability of volunteer track staff for the new season ahead.

All current non-licenced post holders are advised that they must re-apply for their positions, whilst at the same time any new volunteers are being encouraged to apply for a variety of duties on race nights.

Promoter Dan Ford explains "it is important to us that we have an enthusiastic and duty focussed team of volunteers to help with all aspects of staging meetings and just as we are not taking any assumptions that personnel who have helped in previous seasons will be back for our race night change, so too should there be no assumptions by the volunteers themselves that their position will automatically be reallocated to them. So, we are asking everyone to email us their details, which should include a brief resume, by the end of February. If there is anyone who might like to join our team of volunteers then they should email us their details too.

I would add that for 2020 we specifically have two new positions, as we intend on bringing our mascots back and so we are seeking two enthusiastic persons who are looking to have a lot of fun, interact well with the crowd, especially the children and also be available for certain promotional events along with the riders and management.

All applications should be emailed to info@poole-speedway.com or fill out the contact form here.
