WORRALL FIFTH IN BEN OPENER

The 2019 British Speedway season is underway and No.1 Carpet Cleaning Poole Pirate Richie Worrall has made a decent start to the campaign

Riding in the Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund meeting at Leicester on Sunday, Worrall reached the semi-final stages of the meeting have scored 9 points from the heats. 

With Scott Nicholls (13), Danny King and Charles Wright (12) all qualifying directly for the final, Worrall had the opportunity to join them but was headed home in that semi-final by Sam Masters (10), a race which saw Ryan Douglas and Josh Bates finish third and fourth respectively.

The meeting, which attracted a very large crowd on a very cold day in the East Midlands was eventually won by Wolverhampton's lastest signing Scott Nicholls, with Charles Wright second, Danny King third and Masters fourth.
