EASTER PREVIEW
The Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates face a tough opening fixture on Good Friday (6pm) when they welcome Devonshire cousins Plymouth Gladiator...
Ever fancied wearing the Pirates’ Number 8 race jacket?
Well, now you can – and not only that, it will be exclusively signed by the Pirates riders and manager Neil Middleditch for you to keep and treasure.
For just £200, the Number 8 can watch the Wimborne Road racing unfold from the pit lane alongside riders from both teams, as well as seeing their name in the meeting programme and on the electronic scoreboard and hearing it read out alongside the Poole septet over the PA system prior to the meeting.
Pirates promoter Matt Ford said: “These signed replica race jackets are complete one-offs made for this promotion and won’t be put on sale to the public. There will only be 16 in existence – one for each home meeting this season.
“As well as the signed race jacket, the Number 8 and a guest can watch the racing from the pit lane, which is normally strictly reserved for sponsors and riders.
“The package would make a wonderful gift for the birthday of a Pirates supporter, but there are only 16 opportunities to be our Number 8 and I expect them to be snapped up extremely quickly.”
