SECOND QUARTER FINAL OF SCHOOLS FOOTBALL

21/05/18

Heatherlands and Manorside schools will be looking to join Longfleet in the semi-finals of the Poole Speedway schools football tournament when they line up at Wimborne Road on Wednesday.

Heatherlands and Manorside will contest their quarter-final clash (6.45pm) before the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates lock horns with SGB Premiership rivals Wolverhampton (7.30pm).

Longfleet defeated Bishop Aldhelms 1-0 in last week's opening match prior to the Pirates' victory over Rye House in the Premiership.

Pirates promotor Matt Ford said: "I was delighted with the first match of the competition, and I congratulate both teams on a highly competitive game. Longfleet now move forward to the semi-finals at the end of June.

"The public's response to the pre-speedway entertainment has been superb, so get down early to support both teams again this Wednesday.
