HOT STEFF!

Pirates' new boy Stefan Nielsen celebrated the news of his introduction into the Poole team with a six-ride paid maximum for the Scunthorpe Scorpions in the SGB Championship.

Nielsen and Jason Garrity both went through the card unbeaten for the home side in Friday's meeting against Redcar whilst Somerset's Jake Allen just missed out on making it a hat-trick of maximum heroes for the Scorpions when he was headed home by Mikkel Andersen in what proved to be the only race win for the visitors.

It was the second time this season that Nielsen has "maxed" out against Redcar as he notched paid 12 at the Eddie Wright Raceway in a SGB Championship Shield fixture at the beginning of April.

Nielsen, who has been drawn at Sheffield in the British championship semi-final on May 10th makes his debut for the Pirates on Monday, returning to former club Swindon.
