BRITISH GP RESULT

22/07/17

Former Pirate Maciej Janowski claimed his second consecutive Grand Prix victory as he triumphed in the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

A perfect start in the final was called back by the referee but Janowski struck again in the re-run and took the British GP title, held for the past 12 months by another former Poole rider Antonio Lindback!

Janowski added 17 points to his championship tally to move level with fellow Pole Patryk Dudek, both on 75 as Cardiff runner-up Jason Doyle, overcoming his foot injuries, gave his world title aspirations a boost by breaking clear with a three point advantage.

The meeting saw Greg Hancock withdraw after just one ride due to a shoulder injury.
