WORRALL SIGNED AS COVER FOR KURTZ

POOLE boss Matt Ford has moved swiftly to provide permanent cover for injured Brady Kurtz by declaring Richie Worrall in the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates side.

After learning that Kurtz is likely to be sidelined for a while Ford immediately began working his way through the options available to him. "I spoke to half a dozen riders on Sunday evening to see if they would be willing to cover for Brady's absence but they all declined the opportunity. But Richie was up for the task and it will be good to see what he can offer us. He steps in on a 28-day arrangement and I felt it important that we had a full team to declare rather than risk rider replacement which places undue pressure on the rest of the side. I know that Richie will be keen to impress and he will make his debut for us on Wednesday against King's Lynn."

Kurtz suffered rib injuries in a crash with his Polish team-mate Tomasz Gapinski on Sunday and just as he becomes sidelined so Poole welcome back number one Krzysztof Kasprzak.
