Poole Promoter Matt Ford has expressed his sincere appreciation to Rick Frost and Julie Mahoney, former owners of Pirates' sponsors ReadyPower.
"Having had Rick and Julie on board for the past few seasons has been a wonderful association for us as a club, but they reached the decision to sell their business and therefore we will be heading into the the new era of British Speedway without their backing. They are wonderful people and were a pleasure to work with but as in all walks of life things do not remain constant for ever.
"I was grateful to them for keeping me in the picture of their plans, thus allowing me the opportunity to plan out my business without any false hopes and whilst we have yet to find new headline sponsors for 2017 I am still pursuing options on that front and open to any other offers, so if there are any businesses who might be contemplating a sponsorship arrangement with us then I would be open to discussions."
The countdown to the 2017 season continues with the Pirates planning their Press & Practice Day session for Wednesday 22nd March, just 48 hours before the first Wimborne Road meeting of the season which will be the Darcy Ward Benevolent Meeting.
