ANDREW MARCHINGTON R.I.P.

2/12/16

Poole Speedway is saddened to learn of the death of the former MD of club sponsors RIAS and Castle Cover, Andrew Marchington.

In learning of the sad news that Mr Marchington passed away last week,  Poole promoter Matt Ford paid the following tribute to the man whom he had total respect for.

"I am in total shock and very saddened to have received the message from Jo, his wife, to inform me. We enjoyed 7 seasons of excellent club sponsorship through Andrew during his time with RIAS and then Castle Cover."

"Andrew had a huge impact on me personally with his professionalism, the sheer fact of looking after in excess of 1,000 staff at times is frightening. He had an incredibly calm approach in business but achieved results and the best from his staff.

"Saying he will be sadly missed by the club is an understatement. This news is heartbreaking and my thoughts are for his wife Jo and daughters Tilly and Pippa."
