Poole fans start filling your diaries, the Wessex Marine Pirates' fixtures have been released!
Former world number 2 Krzysztof Kasprzak will resume his stop and start Pirates career in 2017.
Kasprzak who received the overall silver medal in the 2014 GP series returns to head the Poole line-up for the inaugural Premiership season. It is a move that ends a four year absence from the Dorset club for whom he made his British debut in 2003, going on to be a regular Pirate until he joined Lakeside in 2007.
The 32-year old has since made two previous returns to Wimborne Road, in 2008 and 2012 and has received the call again from Matt Ford for the forthcoming season on an 11.07 average. "KK has been the unfortunate victim of both his own and the club's success in past seasons, finding himself in direct competition with the likes of Chris Holder and Darcy Ward as an out-and-out number one but, despite his factored average consuming a big chunk of our points I am really pleased to be able to welcome him back yet again."
"I know for sure that he absolutely revels in riding for Poole as we saw last season when he stepped into the breach for us as a guest against Belle Vue. He was absolutely terrific delivering an unbeaten showing and I feel there are plenty of those type of performances still left him in. He has made no secret of the fact that he loves riding for Poole and I am convinced he will revel in the fact that he has the Pirates number one on his jacket."
