INJURED DANISH DUO OUT OF RIBAND *Corrected*

12/10/16

Two of the Danish riders scheduled to have been involved in Friday's Blue Riband Meeting at Wimborne Road have been forced to withdraw due to their ongoing injury problems.

Club captain Hans Andersen is still struggling with the finger injury he sustained on August Bank Holiday in a crash at Leicester whilst Kenneth Bjerre has also pulled out

Poole boss Matt Ford admits "It is disappointing that both Hans and Kenneth have had to pull-out. Hans attempted a comeback recently but recognised that the extent of his injury was actually worse than he had thought and he has decided to finish now for the winter to avoid the risk of further damage.

A third Dane, Bjarne Pedersen, who was runners-up the last time the Blue Riband was staged (2013) is still scheduled to ride,

The replacments will be Steve Worrall and Edward Kennett.
