KURTZ-AINS UP ON ELITE CAREER FOR BRADY

18/11/15

Promising Australian talent Brady Kurtz will launch his top flight British racing career as a 2016 Poole Pirate.

Poole boss Matt Ford had made no secret of his interest in the talented 19 year old from Cowra, New South Wales, the younger brother of former Pirate Todd, and the Poole club owner has now confirmed that Brady will be lining up in Poole colours as the Pirates go in search of a fourth successive title.
"I don't think it will come as a major surprise to anyone that Brady is part of our outfit for 2016. We have had a gentleman's agreement that when he was ready to move up in to the Elite league then we would find a team place for him and I am absolutely thrilled that it has at last come to fruition.
"I see this very much a long-term arrangement too as I firmly believe he can carve out a great career for himself with our club and it is my intention to keep him at Poole for as long as possible. I regard him, as do many of my peers, as an outstanding talent. He is a rider that can go a very long way in this sport and I am quite excited that my club can play a part in culturing his talent."
With Kurtz lining up on a converted 5.24 average Poole now have just two positions left to confirm and have already announced that their first meeting of the season will be the defence of the Elite Shield which they have won three times in the past four campaigns. In 2016 they will host the visit of rivals Coventry at Wimborne Road on March 16th, with the return in Midlands 48 hours later.
