PRESS DAY SNIPPETS
There is a unified feeling amongst the Poole 'Wessex Marine' Pirates that they can go one better in 2026 and secure the league, cup and BSN...
Vaclav Milik scored 13 points and finished second to Piotr Pawlicki (brother of Poole's Przemyslaw) in the opening round of three of the World U21 championship finals.
In Lonigo on Saturday night Milik reached the halfway stage as one of two unbeaten riders but when he met Pawlicki in heat 13 he had no answers to the fast gating Pole but rode well to fend off the interests of both Michelsen and Porsing.
Vaclav then paid the price for some errors in a re-run heat 20 as he allowed Kacper Gomolski to overhaul him for the win.
The second round of the championship will be held in Ostrow, Poland on August 17th with the title race culminating on his home soil of Pardubice on October 4th
