MONDAY'S MEETING POSTPONED

23/08/15

Tonight's re-arranged fixture between Poole and Swindon has been postponed.

The news that emanated from Poland on Sunday about the serious injuries sustained by Poole asset and Robins' current number one Darcy Ward coupled with the very inclement weather forecast for the area today prompted Poole boss Matt Ford to take an early judgement call.

"All our thoughts and concerns right now are with Darcy and although the adage says the 'show must go on' I really don't feel that any of the riders are in the right frame of mind to go and perform. The conditions were likely to be very tricky in any case with the weather forecast the way it is so I feel it is in the interests of all concerned to abandon our plans to stage tonight. I hope to be able to confirm later this morning a new staging date.
