NO BREAK FOR CHRIS AFTER CHAMPIONSHIP FALL

8/01/15

Luckless 2012 World Champion Chris Holder may have had a 'lucky break' as he has been delivered some better news after medical experts have confimed that his latest injury is not as bad as initially feared.

Holder crashed in practice ahead of the third round of the Australian Championships on a very heavy track at Undera damaging the wrist that he had broken last season and required plating.

The initial diagnosis was that the wrist had been re-broken but Holder visited surgeons in Melbourne and later confirmed, via Twitter, that "All fixed up. Was better than expected. Was just disclocated and bent the plate. Doc was happy with it all."

Holder, the defending champion, has been ruled out of the fourth and final round at his 'local' Kurri Kurri raceway but is expected to be in attendance on Saturday.

He faces a couple of weeks sidelined with the injury but is expected to be fully fit for the forthcoming European season.
