Pirates Hope for "Ritch (Pick)ings"
Swindon-born Darryl Ritchings is adding a third club to his 2025 season by agreeing to step into the Poole side for a temporary period.
Kacper Gomolski and Dave Watt were both beneficiaries of £500 cheques ahead of the Pirates' home meeting against Swindon Robins.
The two middle order riders were presented with a financial boost from the generous membership of the Rider Equipment Fund which exists to provide support to the riders of the Poole Pirates. Mandy Smith handed one cheque to Dave Watt and Ruth Beechy presented Kacper Gomolski with his cheque.
REF organiser Stan Vatcher is always on the look-out to sign up new members, who regular contributions help to keep the funds healthy enough so they can step in to help the riders. "It is our intention to make a donation to each rider at some stage during the season and we are very proud that our membership helps us to do that".
