TRIPLE SUCCESS - UPDATED (WITH DRAW)

Three Poole Coastal Aluminium Pirates all made it safely through to the final 32 riders that will maintain hopes of reaching the 2015 Grand Prix series.

In Abensberg, Germany Vaclav Milik recovered from a first ride exclusion to string four winning rides together and then beat current GP rider Martin Smolinski in a run-off to determine overall 2nd place behind maximum man Tomas H Jonasson.

Hours later the deferred Berwick round, originally planned for St Johann before staging difficulties prevented the Austrian club from hosting the event, which then suffered a rain-off on Saturday at Shiefield Park, both of Poole's Polish riders - "Magic" Janowski and "Shamek" Pawlicki - succesfully negotiated the round, with Janowski scoring 11 points and Pawlicki 9.

Pawlicki needed a strong finish after last places in both his second and third rides left him hovering at the lower end of the leaderboard but with victories in his final two rides to add to his opening win he was to finish a point clear of the three British riders - Craig Cook, Lewis Bridger and Chris Harris - all of whom progressed through on 8 points.
