BRADY FALLS IN FINAL

6/01/18

Brady Kurtz finished fourth in the opening round of the Australian Championships after being excluded in the A final at Kurri Kurri.

With four previous race wins to his name and a retirement in his third outing, Kurtz accumulated sufficient points to qualify direct for the Final as the third highest scorer from the points, outpointed by Rohan Tungate (14) and Max Fricke (13).

They were joined in the final by Josh Pickering who beat 2017 Pirate Jack Holder in the B final. Defending champion Sam Masters could only muster 7 points in his five qualifying rounds.

Kurtz fell in the final and was excluded from the re-run which Tungate won in a comprehensive manner from Pickering with Fricke third.
