CYRIL ROGER & ARNE PANDER

Poole Speedway are saddened to hear of the recent loss of two of their former riders Cyril Roger and Arne Pander .

 Cyril Roger, 93, joined the club prior to the start of the 1956 campaign, Pirates first season in the top flight of British racing and he quickly settled into the Poole side averaging 7.34 from his 26 appearances.

83 year old Arne Pander who made 6 appearances as a Pirate in 1968 has also passed away. Pander was better known as an Oxford rider having served them between 1959 and 1968.
