TOM BRENNAN CONTINUES THE COUNTDOWN TO 2024

21/02/24

After his experience last weekend (17th February) at Kern County Raceway in California, when he scored a solid seventeen points for the Rest of the World in the Test Challenge against the USA, Poole's new signing Tom Brennan is counting down the days to his new career as a Pirate.

Speaking as he prepared for his flight back to the UK, Tom told us "It seems a long time ago since we were racing last season but since Christmas was over we have hit the fast forward button and it is one of those things that speedway comes round pretty quick and even though it feels like a long off season things will be underway real soon and now I have had the time away racing in America I have blown the cobwebs away and felt what it is like to be back in the zone and soak up the atmosphere and I am really looking forward to the season ahead."

"I am also looking forward to coming in to meeting the whole team again, catch up with all the management and trying to piece the puzzle together and see what we have to work on throughout the year, and you know, that is a huge thing for us. We want to make sure the team's good, the whole atmosphere is good which I think it will be.

"I am really excited about joining Poole and as I have said before, looking in from the outside, Poole has always seemed to be a very professionally run club and to have the chance to be part of it is something very special indeed. I am really honoured to be here after so many years of kind of racing behind them and I am looking forward to it.

"It is also going to be good to be able to meet with the fans. Poole supporters are renowned for being some of the most passionate in the sport and now they are part of my home club that really serves to put fuel to the fire so to speak."

Tom, who joins the Pirates on a 7.15 average is set to make his official debut on Friday 29th March (Good Friday) at 7.30pm when defending BSN Series champions, Poole, welcome the Oxford Cheetahs to the stadium for the first of their four group meetings, with a visit to Plymouth following the very next day.
