NIELSEN NAMED AS 2020 STARTER

27/11/19

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the experienced Steve Worrall as a Pirate comes the news that another British prospect is Wimborne Road bound, in the guise of 25 year old Stefan Nielsen.

Returning for a second time, having been an all-too short a Pirate in 2018 before injury struck him in only his fourth appearance after a mid-season team change brought him, Stefan comes into the side with Matt Ford describing him as "a great talent that the sport has yet to see the best of. "

"We saw that with his performances against Rye House in 2018 when he earned a total paid scores of 23 from 10 rides. He has been a solid performer in the SGB Championship for the past two seasons with Scunthorpe and again it was only another injury in 2017 that prevented him that season of doing similar. "

Stefan, was born in his father's home country, Denmark but as the son of a British mother he has concentrated his career in the country of his taken nationality and is a two-time British U19 champion and comes into the Poole side on a 4.40 starting average.
